Our client is the Large ​ACT Government, who are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join their team in Canberra, ACT. Role Summary The Senior Technical Writer will play a key role in delivering accurate, consistent and governance-compliant technical documentation across ICT infrastructure refresh, architecture and asset management initiatives. The role will work closely with technical SMEs, architects, project managers and asset management specialists to consolidate and develop high-quality documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Create, consolidate, update and maintain technical design documentation across multiple ICT program streams, including conceptual and detailed system designs.
Collaborate with architects, SMEs, project managers and asset management specialists to ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, traceable and aligned with enterprise standards.
Develop SOPs,



technical documentation packs and governance artefacts while applying appropriate version control, documentation standards and metadata requirements.

Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated senior-level experience in technical writing within ICT infrastructure, asset management or operational ICT environments, with the ability to standardise documentation across complex programs.
Robust understanding of ICT architecture artefacts, technical design diagrams and system configuration documentation, with proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Microsoft Visio.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong stakeholder engagement, attention to detail, adaptability and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable: Experience with Atlassian JIRA/Confluence, ITIL knowledge or qualifications, and relevant technical qualifications or industry certifications. On offer is a contract chance with the ACT Government, a highly sought-after public sector setting, with a highly competitive daily rate.
