A Registered Nurse with experience in school nursing is needed for a contract position in Jewett City, CT. This role is ideal for an RN who is passionate about supporting childrens health and well-being within an educational environment. The nurse will provide essential health services, manage health plans, and collaborate with school staff to ensure a protected and healthy learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care and first aid for students during school hours
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Conduct health screenings and monitor student health conditions
Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student health needs
Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with school policies and regulations
Respond to emergencies and coordinate appropriate care or referrals

Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN)



license in Connecticut
Previous school nursing experience preferred
Strong knowledge of pediatric health issues and school health programs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
CPR and First Aid certification
