About the role

We are looking for an experienced Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role is for someone who has a desire to help people, a friendly and approachable manner, and the ability to deliver the best possible care to our patients. Key responsibilities
Welcome patients in a warm, skilled and friendly manner
Manage appointment bookings and diary coordination
Respond to patient enquiries over the phone and in person
Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and route calls
Respond to and action emails and faxes
Manage patient registration and maintain accurate patient records
Coordinate with healthcare providers and assist with various administrative tasks
Handle billings and process payments
Prepare consulting rooms and the clinic for the day
Ensure the reception area is organised, qualified and presentable at all times

About you




A minimum of 12 months experience in General Practice Medical Reception
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A strong customer service focus and professional manner
High attention to detail with strong organisational and multitasking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical practice software
Experience using Best Practice, Cubiko or Medical Directory will be highly regarded
Flexibility to work casual shifts and occasional evening or weekend work
A friendly, empathetic and team-oriented approach
