Hands-On Trades Assistant Wanted – Excellent Variety, Great Team, No Two Days the Same!

Essential Power Systems (EPS) is looking for a reliable, hands-on Electrical & Mechanical Trades Assistant to join our growing team in Cardiff. You'll work alongside experienced electricians and generator technicians on a wide range of diesel generators, electrical equipment and temporary power systems, both in our workshop and out on industrial and commercial sites.

Key responsibilities
Assisting with generator servicing, repairs and maintenance
Helping with electrical and mechanical installations
Preparing generators and equipment for upcoming jobs
Loading, unloading and transporting equipment
Site mobilisations and demobilisations
Workshop and yard duties




Working alongside tradespeople on customer sites

About you
Current Forklift Licence – required
Current MR Truck Licence – required
Current driver's licence
White Card
Previous industrial or Trades Assistant experience
Good mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
Confidence using hand and power tools
A solid work ethic and valuable attitude
Ability to work well within a small team
Experience with diesel generators, heavy equipment or industrial electrical equipment would be a big advantage, but isn't essential
