What you'll be doing

Ensuring all food preparation and cooking is carried out in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Maintaining a clean, organized and efficient kitchen environment
Collaborating with the kitchen team and front of house to deliver exceptional dining experiences for customers
Manage, organise and lead all kitchen operations in accordance with company policies and Executive Chefs directions
will support the right cadidates with visa, but strictly consider only onshore candidates

What we're looking for
Only serious onshore candidates with Proven experience as a Senior Chef in a commercial kitchen setting, preferably with fine dining experience, with passion and commitment, even an experienced Sous Chef who is looking to step up will tick the columns
Position Available at Jam Corner, one of the top dining spot in North Queensland serving Modern Australian, Fine dining, Hatted restaurant.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation, Banqueting experience will be an added advantage
Financial Acumen: Solid capability in monitoring food costs, minimizing waste, managing labor costs, and driving revenue




Deep knowledge of Australian food produces, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment is essential, with a keen eye for detail and current industry trends
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistently high standards of food quality
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced well organised kitchen team with long term commitment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a hand picked small team
Food safety and hygiene certification
