HEAD CHEF – ITALIAN CUISINE

Il Ritrovo is seeking a highly experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and take our Italian offering to the next level.

We are looking for a passionate and confident chef with extensive experience in authentic Italian cuisine, strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a busy kitchen to the highest standards.

About the Role
Lead and manage the entire kitchen team
Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across every service
Oversee menu development, specials and seasonal dishes
Manage food costs, stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
Organise kitchen rosters and staff training
Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
Work closely with the owners to grow and develop the restaurant

Requirements
Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
Strong background in authentic Italian cuisine
Excellent knowledge of pasta, meat, seafood and traditional Italian cooking techniques




Proven leadership and kitchen-management experience
Robust understanding of food costs, portion control and stock management
Ability to remain organised and perform under pressure
Skilled attitude, reliability and strong work ethic
Full working rights in Australia
