We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanics to play a key role in keeping the fleet of garbage trucks and other heavy vehicles, and equipment in top condition. Based at the Thornleigh Depot, this hands-on role is ideal for experienced mechanics looking to work in a supportive, safety-focused team.

Monday - Friday. Fulltime hours

Key Responsibilities:
Service, maintain and repair a wide range of heavy vehicles and plant equipment
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and transmission faults
Keep accurate maintenance and service records
Maintain workshop safety and assist with parts inventory
Ensure all work complies with WHS and environmental standards

What You'll Need:
Mechanic Trade Licence: Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanic
Proven experience working with heavy vehicles and machinery
Solid knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems




Experience with diagnostic tools and ECMs
MR Driver's Licence
Robust teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Understanding of WHS and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations
Australian citizenship or permanent residency required

Work Setting:
Hands-on, physical role requiring lifting up to 25kg
Indoor workshop and outdoor work settings
PPE provided and required at all times
