About the role

You will provide commercial and financial oversight across multiple projects. This is a key commercial position for someone who enjoys working with project costs, budgets, forecasting and financial performance. You will work closely with Project Managers and senior management to protect project margins, identify where costs are heading, recognise commercial risks, and understand the numbers behind projects.

Key responsibilities
Managing and monitoring project budgets
Tracking actual expenditure against budget
Preparing forecasts and cost-to-complete reporting
Monitoring project margins and commercial performance
Identifying cost overruns, financial risks and discrepancies early
Managing variations, claims, retentions and commercial documentation
Contract and subcontract administration
Reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations
Supporting procurement and major purchasing decisions
Providing accurate commercial and financial reporting to management

About you
Solid experience with project costing, budgets and financial analysis




Experience preparing forecasts and cost-to-complete reports
Sound understanding of contracts, variations and procurement
Solid commercial awareness and understanding of project margins
Excellent Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Confidence working directly with Project Managers and senior management
Qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Commerce, Finance, Business, Contract Management or Project Management will be highly regarded, although relevant industry experience is equally key
