About the role

Ace Mechanical Solutions is seeking an experienced Workshop Fabricator / Boilermaker to join our team. This role is suited to a tradesperson with experience in light to medium fabrication, workshop repairs and general maintenance. The successful applicant will work on a variety of mining and mobile plant equipment, with a robust focus on quality, safety and productivity.

You will be required to work independently as well as part of a team, with the ability to complete jobs to a high standard and within required timeframes.

Key responsibilities
Light to medium fabrication and workshop repairs
General structural and mechanical fabrication
Crack repairs on mining and mobile plant equipment
Welding, cutting, gouging and general workshop duties
Repair and modification of components and equipment
Working safely and maintaining high standards of workmanship
Following job specifications and workplace procedures

About you
Trade qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator – Certificate III or similar
Experience in light to medium fabrication
Mobile plant maintenance experience desirable




Heavy fabrication experience desirable
Experience with crack repairs on mining equipment
Competent in MIG, TIG and stick welding
Experience with Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
Experience with oxy and plasma cutting and gouging
Experience with lancing and pin removal
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
