About the role

A busy family of three located in Pakenham is seeking an experienced, reliable home cook to prepare fresh, authentic Indian vegetarian meals.

Key responsibilities
Cook fresh, balanced Indian vegetarian dishes (curries, dal, sabzi, roti/paratha, rice, and batch-prep essentials)
Portion meals appropriately for a household of 3, including refrigerating/freezing leftovers safely
Perform general kitchen tidying (wiping down prep areas, loading/emptying the dishwasher, and cleaning cookware used)

Job Details
Hours: 6 hours per week (split across 2 days, ~3 hours per session; adaptable days/times to be mutually agreed).
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Pakenham, VIC.
Engagement: Casual domestic / Subcontractor (ABN holders welcome).
Supplies: All groceries, spices, and cooking appliances provided.

Proven background in cooking authentic Indian vegetarian food
High standards of kitchen hygiene and food handling
Valid Australian working rights
Reliable independent transport to and from Pakenham
Punctual, proactive, and positive communicator
