Established for 50 years, the Group has a strong heritage in construction and has experienced significant growth and diversification over recent years.
Today, its interests encompasshigh-end residential and commercial construction, property development, and an extensive commercial and residential property portfolio held across multiple entities.
With a explicit five-year growth strategy in place, the appointment ofaSeniorFinanceExecutiverepresentsanimportant next stage in the evolution of the business.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with theSenior Leadership Team of whichtheSeniorFinancialControllerwillbea keymember,providingstrategicfinancial leadership and commercial insight across the Group.
With forecast annual turnover of approximately$40 million, this is a broad executive role encompassing Groupfinancial management, construction and project performance, property and development interests, treasury,riskand governance.
TheSeniorFinancialControllerwilllead and further develop the finance function, including the appointment of asecondFinancial Controller, andestablishthe financial capability, disciplines and systemsrequiredto support the Group's continued growth.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
Strategic financial and commercial advice to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team
Group management reporting,budgeting,forecastingandfinancial planning
Cash-flow,treasury,bankingandcapital management
Construction financial performance, including job costing, WIP, project forecasting and margin analysis
Financial oversight of the Group's property investment and leasing portfolio
Property developmentforecasting,feasibilityandfinancial performance




Group structures,intercompanyreportingandconsolidatedfinancialoversight
Commercial contracts, insurance, financialriskandgovernanceincludingcompliance
Financialsystems,controlsandcontinuous improvement
Management of internal and external stakeholder networks including financiers and consultants
Leadership and development of the Group finance function and team
Contribution to strategic planning,investmentdecisionsandthe execution of the Group's five-year growth strategy
The Executive
We areseekinga highly credible finance leader who combinesstrong technical capability with commercial judgement and strategic perspective.
The successful candidate will ideally bring senior financial leadership experiencewithinconstruction,property development,propertyinvestmentora similarly project-driven environment, togetherwithdemonstratedcapabilityin complex, multi-entity structures.
A strong understanding of construction accounting, job costing, WIP, cash-flowmanagementand project commercial performance will be significant.
Exposure to property investment, leasing and/or development will be highly regarded.
CA/CPA qualification or equivalent is expected.
Just as importantly, the successful executive will have the interpersonal maturitytooperateeffectivelywithin a successful privately owned business.
They will be confident working closely with owners and senior leaders, capable of providingconstructivechallengeandindependent advice,whileremainingpragmatic,collaborativeandcommercially focused.
This role will suit anestablishedSeniorFinanceDirector,or an exceptional senior financeexecutivepreparingtostepinto their first CFO appointment.
