Head of Economics
Applications are invited for the position of Head of Economics at Trinity Grammar.

The Role
The Economics Faculty of Trinity Grammar School provides an enriched student experience through the provision of quality teaching in the areas of Economics, Business Studies, Business Management, Commerce and Legal Studies that celebrate growth, cultivate curiosity and inspire lifelong learning.
The Head of Economics works under the direction of the Deputy Headmaster – Academic, and in collaboration with the Director of Curriculum and Assessment, the Head of Research and Professional Growth, and the Dean of Professional Pathways.
The Head of Faculty – Economics will be required to:
Lead the Faculty to deliver the curricula of the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and the International Baccalaureate (IB)



within the student-centred, growth-focused and relational learning principles of Trinity Grammar School
Understand the legislation and policies that impact the Faculty and manage the NESA and IB administrative and compliance requirements
Implement the School's Assessment Policy, ensuring the highest degree of integrity and reliability using transparent, detailed student-centred programs that align to the School's Assessment Principles
Lead a team of successful educators, providing challenging opportunities and appropriate support to facilitate their professional growth and the successful fulfilment of individual and team responsibilities
About You
Proven experience leading a high-performing academic team, with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop teachers to achieve excellence in teaching and learning.
Solid curriculum leadership and subject expertise in Economics, with a demonstrated capacity to deliver innovative, student-centred programs that achieve outstanding educational outcomes.
A commitment to academic rigour, continuous improvement and evidence-based practice, using data to evaluate performance and drive strategic improvement initiatives.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents and the broader school community.
Strong organisational and leadership capabilities, including experience managing resources, budgets, compliance requirements and faculty operations effectively.

Relevant teaching qualifications, NESA accreditation, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth and educational leadership development.
