Bring your taxation expertise to help clients navigate complex property, succession and structuring decisions while building a practice tailored to your strengths and interests.

We are looking to find the right person or mix of people who can work with our existing property, estate planning and structuring and commercial advisory teams to provide practical and client focussed advice and strategy in the areas of:
State taxes such as stamp duty and land tax; and/or
Federal taxes.
Experience in both aspects would be ideal but we are open to candidates who might have broader experience in related property, commercial and structuring work.
You will ideally have some leadership experience or the aptitude and willingness to grow into a leader of our firm.
Job Description
The opportunity
Working closely with our Practice Leaders across the firm this role offers the opportunity to build a practice on the back of robust existing work pipeline.
You will be supported by leaders who are invested in your development and open to shaping the role around your strengths, interests and the contribution you want to make.
Desired Skills and Experience
Who might this role suit?




We are interested in hearing from lawyers with approximately 7+ years' PAE who bring depth of experience and enjoy helping clients navigate complex legal and tax issues.
Strong technical experience in state and/or federal taxation, property, trusts, estate planning, structuring or private client advisory work
Confidence advising clients on complex ownership, succession, restructuring or asset transfer issues
The ability to translate technical tax and legal concepts into practical, commercial advice
Most importantly, you are someone who:
Enjoys solving complex technical problems
Builds trusted relationships with clients and advisers
Takes a commercial and solutions-focused approach
Values collaboration and knowledge sharing
Enjoys working across practice areas rather than in silos
Wants to contribute to building a practice (or bring their own existing practice).
