Experienced Underground HV Electricians required to maintain critical electrical infrastructure across WA underground mining operations.

About the opportunity
Myndshift Group supports the mining, civil construction and heavy engineering industries, partnering with leading organisations to deliver experienced personnel across Australia.
We are currently seeking experienced Underground HV Electricians for FIFO opportunities across underground hard-rock mining operations in Western Australia.
These roles suit trade-qualified electricians with strong underground experience across HV distribution, mine infrastructure, fixed plant and underground mobile equipment.
Key responsibilities
Maintain underground HV and LV electrical distribution systems.
Complete scheduled maintenance, inspections and breakdown repairs.
Maintain substations, transformers, switchgear, distribution boards and trailing cables.
Support underground ventilation, pumping, dewatering and communications infrastructure.
Diagnose faults across motors, starters, VSDs, PLCs and control systems.
Complete HV switching, isolations, testing and permit activities within site authorisations.
Maintain electrical systems supporting development drills, production drills, loaders, trucks and ancillary equipment.
Complete statutory inspections, electrical logbooks and maintenance documentation.
Work closely with operational and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and ensure equipment remains protected and compliant.
Experience and requirements
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent Australian-recognised qualification.
Current unrestricted WA Electrical Licence.
Current HV Switching qualification and demonstrated switching experience.
Preferably 3-5+ years of post-trade electrical experience.
Demonstrated underground hard-rock mining experience is essential.
Experience maintaining underground HV reticulation, fixed infrastructure and mobile mining equipment.
Strong fault-finding skills across HV, LV, motor-control and automation systems.
Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue certification.
Current Australian manual driver's licence.
Ability to complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and relevant site clearances.
Working at Heights, First Aid, EWP, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA and underground remote-control experience will be highly regarded.
Experience supporting Sandvik or Epiroc drill fleets, underground loaders and trucks, ventilation fans, pumps, substations and associated mine infrastructure will also be advantageous.
What is on offer
Up to $100 per hour + superannuation.
Even-time 7:7 or 2:2 rosters.
FIFO from Perth.
