About the Opportunity

Ezy-Fit Hydraulics & Engineering Group has a great opportunity for an experienced Centre Lathe Operator to join our high performing team in our Salisbury South branch.
n
This role will see you in our large turning section you will have exceptional skills using manual lathes to turn large components up to 600mm diameter and 8 metres long to exacting tolerances. For our smaller manual turning you will have exceptional skills turning components up to 300mm diameter and 3 metres long.

Your Tasks
n
n
Carry out the manufacture of products and components in accordance with work orders, drawings and other instructions.
n
Assist with material and component selection and handling.
n
Maintain identification and traceability of manufactured products.
n
Carry out and record the results of in-process inspections on manufactured components and assemblies according to instructions.
n
Report non-conformities to the Leading Hand or Production Manager.
n
Look for opportunities of continuous improvement within the organisation.
n
Operate in a secure manner and in accordance with WH&S; Regulations.

Thorough knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.
n
Good communication skills.
n
Excellent reading and writing skills.
n
The right to work in Australia.
n
Able to effectively interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
n
Experience in operating key manufacturing equipment.
