Connected People is partnering with an established and highly regarded law firm to recruit an experienced
SeniorFamily Lawyer
to join its Sydney CBD team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Lawyer who enjoys high-quality, complex work while being part of a supportive and collaborative team.
You will work from
stunning Sydney CBD offices with enviable views
, with the added benefit of a hybrid working environment.
You will manage a varied caseload of complex family law matters, working with clients through what can often be challenging and highly sensitive circumstances.
You will have access to excellent support, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality legal advice and achieving strong outcomes for your clients.
The Role:
Managing a diverse caseload of complex family law matters from initial advice through to resolution;
Advising on complex property settlements, including matters involving significant asset pools, businesses, trusts and other financial structures;
Managing parenting matters, including complex parenting disputes and parenting arrangements;
Advising on divorce, separation and related family law issues;
Drafting and negotiating Binding Financial Agreements, Consent Orders and other family law documentation;
Preparing matters for mediation, dispute resolution and court proceedings;
Appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia where required;
Negotiating settlements and developing practical strategies to resolve disputes efficiently;
Building strong relationships with clients and providing clear, considered and commercially practical advice; and
Supporting and mentoring more junior lawyers and contributing to the broader family law team.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of
4 years' PAE in family law
and be confident managing matters with a high level of autonomy.
You will also bring:
Strong technical knowledge of Australian family law;
Experience managing complex property and/or parenting matters;
Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills;
Sound judgement and the ability to develop practical legal strategies;
A professional and empathetic approach when working with clients during sensitive circumstances;
Strong communication and relationship-building skills;
Excellent attention to detail and file management capabilities;
The confidence to manage competing priorities and deadlines; and
A team-oriented approach and willingness to support junior members of the team.
