Job Tasks and Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity at Moolarben Coal Operations to join our Underground team as an Electrical Engineering Manager.
Working with a dynamic team, you will be a strong leader who has the ability to drive the correct safety culture whilst maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement, problem solving and high standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Undertake the statutory roles and responsibilities of Electrical Engineering Manager.
Maintain the statutory compliance relevant to the underground area of responsibility for electrical equipment, plant, and installations.
Implement, monitor, and review standards of electrical engineering.
Ensure safety and legislative compliance.
Train, mentor, and coach team members in the EECP and guidelines and procedures of electrical engineering.
Skills and Experience
Practicing Certificate: Electrical Engineering Manager of underground coal mines,
candidates who are currently sitting for the PCEEM are invited to apply.
Preferred minimum of 3 years' experience in an electrical management or supervisory role.
Comprehensive knowledge of mining legislation, best practice industry standards and risk management.
Strong electrical safety focus, high standards and technical engineering ability.
A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
Sound planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
