Are you a strategic risk leader who can influence at the executive level, lead transformational change, and embed a strong risk culture across a customer-focused business?
n

We are seeking an experienced Head of Advice & Customer Risk to lead the operational and transformational risk agenda across our Advice & Customer Division. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for strengthening Line 1 risk management, governance, controls and risk culture, while enabling the safe and successful delivery of strategic priorities and customer outcomes.
n
Reporting to the General Manager, Advice & Customer Operations, you will partner closely with senior executives and business leaders to ensure risk management is practical, commercially focused and embedded in the way we operate.

About the Role
n
As Head of Advice & Customer Risk, you will lead the Division's Line 1 risk function, providing strategic direction and oversight across operational risk management, governance frameworks and transformation initiatives.
n
You will play a critical role in helping the business navigate an evolving regulatory environment while fostering a culture where risk ownership and customer outcomes go hand in hand.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the Division's Line 1 risk function and overall risk agenda.
n
Oversee operational risk activities including risk and control assessments, incidents, issues, obligations and remediation.
n
Drive delivery of the risk transformation program and associated initiatives.
n
Partner with business leaders to manage risk across operations,
customer initiatives and strategic change.
n
Strengthen governance, accountability and decision-making frameworks across the division.
n
Develop and embed risk policies, standards, processes and reporting aligned to enterprise frameworks.
n
Oversee vendor and third-party risk management activities.
n
Provide risk insights, reporting and recommendations to senior leadership forums.
n
Build risk capability and a proactive risk culture through coaching and education.
n
Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering engagement, accountability and continuous improvement.
n

About You
n
n
Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Law, Risk Management or a related discipline.
n
10+ years' experience in risk, governance, compliance or operational leadership within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
n
Proven advice risk experience and experience in leading risk transformation programs.
n
Strong understanding of operational risk, control frameworks, compliance and governance.
n
Demonstrated ability to translate enterprise frameworks into practical business outcomes.
n
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
n
Solid commercial judgement and ability to balance risk, customer outcomes and business priorities.
n
Experience building risk capability and leading high-performing teams.
n
n
