About The Team

As our next Employee Relations team member, you will be committed to fostering a positive workplace culture, offering expert ER and IR advice and support and ensuring compliance with employment laws and policies.
The Opportunity – Employee Relations Consultant!
As an Employee Relations Consultant, you'll provide expert advice and partner with leaders to navigate complex people matters across the University.
Working within our Employee Relations team, you'll influence positive workplace outcomes, support strategic initiatives, and help ensure compliance with employment legislation and industrial obligations.
In this role, you will:
Lead complex employee relations cases, investigations, and workplace matters.
Provide specialist advice on performance, conduct, grievances, and industrial relations.
Support enterprise bargaining, organisational change initiatives, and policy development.

This Continuous, Full-Time position attracts a remuneration of $116k– $133K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you'll bring to the role:
Extensive experience managing complex employee and industrial relations matters in a large or complex organisation.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and workplace investigations.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
The ability to balance competing priorities while delivering practical, risk‐based people solutions.
