People and Safety Officer
We're searching for a highly organised People and Safety Officer to join our passionate team.
Working closely with the People & Safety Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of our People & Safety function, you'll be involved in everything from recruitment and onboarding, HR administration through to safety coordination, internal communications and learning & development.
You'll help ensure our People & Safety processes and activities run smoothly while contributing to a positive, safe and supportive workplace.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Conservation Science, you will play a key role in administering, governing and continuously improving Trust for Nature's enterprise GIS systems, spatial databases and analytical workflows.
You will ensure GIS systems and capability are fit for purpose, while delivering spatial analyses that inform conservation science, planning,



monitoring, reporting and on-ground delivery.
You will work within the state-wide science team to build GIS capability across the organisation through mentoring, technicalsupport,and collaboration with our internal team.
Your work will directly influence how conservation priorities areidentified,managed,and protected across Victoria.
A key focus of the role will be developing consistent GIS training, guidance and staff support across the organisation.
You will also support the roll-out of Trust for Nature's Habitat Track monitoring program by supporting the development of data infrastructure, data management processes and analytical pipelines that turn monitoring data into practical conservation insights.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for people, wellbeing and safe workplaces.
To be successful in this role you will bring:
Previous experience in an HR, OHS, or related administration or operational support role.
A practical understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
Exceptional organisational, planning and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and administrative skills.
Ability to interpret and explain concepts and policies and give guidance to others.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable working with ambiguity.
Qualifications in Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety are desirable but not essential
