The Role
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support numerous accounting functions, including payroll and also assist with the below financial duties:
Post monthly accruals and fortnightly payroll journals
Undertake payroll operations by processing fortnightly adjustments including superannuation, salary packaging, leave entitlements and WorkCover
Support audit processes by preparing and delivering payroll‐related documents
Monitor corporate credit card expenditure, ensuring invoices and receipts are approved via the correct delegation policy
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable and follow up any outstanding accounts
Manage timely preparation of program invoices, and ensure payment confirmations are communicated to relevant stakeholders
Skills Required
You will have demonstrated experience using accounting systems, ideally from a not‐for‐profit setting.
You will also have the following skills:
Experience with payroll processing and using payroll software, including attendance and time
Have a strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of AP and AR processes
Hold a Working with Children Check and current criminal records check with ongoing validity
Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting
Desirable to be CPA Qualified and experience using Xero or Elmo payroll system
