The Opportunity
We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Finance team in Sydney.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and detail oriented payroll professional to manage and administer end to end payroll activities, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
As part of a friendly and collaborative team, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality payroll service to employees while contributing to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.
Your Role
Process and maintain the end-to-end payroll function and ensure compliance with current Awards, legislation, provisions, guidelines, contracts,



policies & procedures
Process and administer superannuation payments, payroll tax, workers compensation and other payments on a monthly or required basis
Perform payroll administration and maintain employee records including setting up new starters, terminations and payments, pay increases and back-pays
Monitor and maintain the integrity of the payroll functions and systems and ensure internal control procedures are met and comply with legislative requirements
Provide statutory reconciliations, month end and other payroll analysis reports when required
Prepare and upload monthly payroll journals
Process partners drawings
Compile and generate monthly and year end reconciliation of payroll to the general ledger reports for analysis
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will work closely and collaborate with HR, and IT teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and data integrity
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Tertiary or TAFE qualification in Accounting
Demonstrated experience in end to end payroll processing
Experience working within a professional services environment
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment




Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high quality outcomes
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
Experience with Access Payroll systems
Experience with Aderant Practice Management Software
Strong MS Excel skills
