Toowoomba Grammar School (TGS) is seeking a passionate andmotivated Junior School Teacher to join our team.
TGS teachers arecommitted to boys' education and delivering an engaging,broad-based curriculum informed by evidence-based practice andcontemporary educational research.
This is a full-time fixed-termposition commencing in January ****.
Experience teaching in theEarly Years to Middle Years, specifically Prep to Year 4, will behighly regarded.

TGS was founded in ****.
It is an independentnon-denominational day and boarding school for boys with a totalenrolment of 1,200 from Preparatory to Year 12.
The School'scampus covers 20.5 hectares and is located one kilometre from thecentre of Toowoomba.
It is our vision that our boys will graduate from TGS with theskills to be independent, well-balanced, and successful inlife.

About the Position
TGS Teachers are responsible for designing and deliveringinnovative teaching programs aligned to the TGS teaching andlearning framework, policies and practices.
Selection Criteria
You will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment to:
Teaching Expertise
: Demonstratedproficiency in designing and delivering innovative teachingprograms aligned with the Australian curriculums.
A deepunderstanding of effective pedagogical practices and theability to tailor teaching methods to diverse learning stylesand student needs.
Subject Matter Knowledge
: Provenspecialist knowledge in the subject discipline, encompassing acomprehensive understanding of its concepts, theories, andpractical applications.
Ability to convey complex ideas in anaccessible manner and to inspire students' curiosity andengagement.
Student Engagement and Motivation
: Trackrecord of motivating and enthusing students, particularly boys,in their learning journey.
Ability to create a dynamic andinclusive classroom setting that fosters activeparticipation,



critical thinking, and a passion forlearning.
Use of Technology in Education
:Proficiency in leveraging technology as an integral part of theteaching process to enhance student learning outcomes.Demonstrated ability to integrate digital tools and resourceseffectively to engage students and promote digitalliteracy.
Curriculum Development and Adaptation
:Experience in collaboratively developing and evaluatingcurriculum materials, adapting to educational trends, andintegrating innovative teaching methods.
Ability to createlearning experiences that are relevant, challenging, andaligned with the school's educational philosophy.
Pastoral Care
: Ability to contribute topastoral care programs and promote a positive and inclusiveschool culture.
Contributions to School Community
:Demonstrated willingness and enthusiasm to actively participatein the school's co-curricular activities, House system, andpastoral care initiatives.
Proven ability to contributepositively to the broader school community and itsprograms.
Professional Development and Growth
:Proactive commitment to ongoing professional development and awillingness to engage in continuous learning.
Demonstratedparticipation in workshops, courses, or other activities thatcontribute to refining teaching practices and staying updatedwith educational advancements.

Candidates must be registered, or eligible for registration,



asteachers in Queensland and be willing to participate in theco-curricular programme of the School.
