About your opportunity
The Assistant in Nursing is responsible for providing nursing care in a professional, safe and compassionate manner as a member of Eventide team.
The Assistant in Nursing works under the direction of the of the Registered Nurse and this may be overseen by an Enrolled Nurse to assist in achieving service goals.
About the facility
Eventide Residential Aged Care Facility provides a multidisciplinary approach to care delivery with a focus on resident's rights and choices.
Residents (as able), relatives, carers and other health professionals are involved in the individual care planning process and encouraged to play an active role in the decision-making process.
With the introduction of the aged care nursing ratios,



all nursing staff will work together to provide resident focused quality nursing care that meets the aged care quality standards and will assist in the provision of leisure and recreational activities and interactions.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Assist clients with activities of daily living and other tasks as delegated by the registered nurse.
Work effectively with clients, colleagues and the multidisciplinary team.
Effectively communicate information verbally and in writing.
Use or learn to use information systems appropriate to the position.
Willingness to undertake education as required by the role.

Requirements:
Shift Workers:
Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
Driver Licence:
This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check
Highly Desirable:
Applicants who meet one of the following criteria are considered highly desirable:
Hold a relevant Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Service Assistant or equivalent, or
Successful completion of the first semester full-time equivalent Diploma of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies, or
Successful completion of the first year full-time equivalent undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies.
Working knowledge of a range of software packages used in the clinical and management environment, e.g., Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, Matrix and Power Point.
