Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a quality controller to join our expanding team.
This is an exiting chance in an exiting time during the transition from an exiting family run business Blakeman's and joining Cranswick.
You will be helping the journey and ensuring proficiency for the business, coordinating with other members of the warehouse.
Ensuring products meet required standards following our policies.
Main duties include (but not limited to)




Conducting weight checks for frozen products and verify breakages where required.
Monitoring weight and size of products during production to ensure compliance with specification.
Completing daily/weekly temperature checks for chillers, freezers, and canteen refrigerators.
Monitoring services weights and lengths, ensuring compliance with product requirements.
Generating and maintain non-conformance reports, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues.
Verifying product label accuracy.
Aiding in external audits by providing accurate paperwork and documentation to ensure traceability and compliance.
Working closely with the wider Quality Team, supporting colleagues with holiday and absence cover as needed.
Participating in continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality processes and product consistency.
Requirements, experience and person specification:
Have experience in the role or a similar role (not essential as training will be given)
Have a understanding of regulations and safety standards
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills to work with other departments
Supporting with absences and holiday cover
