We are seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to join a well-established Rural Queensland Health mental health service. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident clinician who thrives in a quick‐paced environment and can step into a senior role with minimal supervision.

Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll provide high‐quality, recovery‐focused care while managing a complex mental health caseload. This role is ideal for clinicians with strong Queensland Health experience who can hit the ground running and provide clinical leadership when required.

Key responsibilities

Provide comprehensive mental health assessments and ongoing case management
n
Deliver evidence‐based therapeutic interventions across a complex caseload
n
Complete risk assessments, safety planning and crisis intervention
n
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver person‐centred care
n
Provide clinical support and guidance to junior clinicians where appropriate
n
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care
n
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and utilise Queensland Health systems
n
Contribute to service improvement initiatives and best practice mental health care
n

Skills & experience
n
n
Minimum 3+ years' recent Queensland Health mental health experience (essential)
n
Qualification as a Social Worker (eligible for AASW membership), Psychologist (AHPRA registered)
n




Demonstrated experience managing complex mental health presentations within public mental health services
n
Strong understanding of risk assessment, crisis intervention and recovery‐oriented practice
n
Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team
n
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and clinical decision‐making skills
n
Experience using Queensland Health clinical systems is highly desirable
n
Ability to commence with minimal orientation and quickly integrate into an established team
n
