About the role
This role functions as a critical bridge between the centralised Technology and Digital Services directorate and the academic research and teaching community.
The role works with academic staff to develop, supply and maintain platforms that support teaching and learning for highly technical courses and provide high performance and general-purpose compute for research.
You will need to liaise and work closely with both academic and qualified staff to plan future requirements, determine upcoming demand, develop budgets and deliver platforms that are a critical part of UNEs teaching and research.
About you
Experience with multi-user HPC and general-purpose compute systems
Experience working in research and/or academic environments
Highly skilled in Systems Administration
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collegial approach to collaboration
An ability to consult and develop roadmaps and architecture to supply a diverse range of solutions
About the Department




This role is part of the Digital Infrastructure team within the Technology and Digital Services (TDS) directorate at UNE.
TDS is responsible for the technology platforms, infrastructure, and digital services that support the University's teaching, learning, research, and administrative operations - from networks and cloud platforms to servers and end-user devices.
The work is diverse, challenging and rewarding.
