Position Information
The Meadows Public School, established in **** and located in the suburb of Seven Hills, is part of the Bungarribee Principals Network in Western Sydney.
The school has an enrolment of approximately 340 students, including 11% Aboriginal students and 69% of students from a Language Background other than English.
The school continues to work in partnership with its Schools as Community Centre (SaCC) to support early childhood learners and their families and serves as the base school for the Itinerant Support (Hearing) Team, providing specialist support to students and schools across the network.
Our teaching staff includes both experienced and early career teachers who share a strong commitment to evidence-informed teaching, with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and student engagement.
Analysis of school data and evidence highlights ongoing priorities in reading, numeracy, attendance, wellbeing, and teacher collaboration.
These priorities guide professional learning and classroom practice to ensure consistent, high-quality teaching and improved student outcomes.
The school implements Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) and provides a range of co-curricular and leadership opportunities supported by an active and engaged Parents and Citizens Association.

Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach primary English as an additional language or dialect or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in English as an additional language primary or dialect qualifications approved by the NSW Department of education.
Demonstrated experience in evidence-based explicit teaching, with the ability to collaborate with classroom teachers to plan, implement and evaluate EaL/D strategies that strengthen English language development and improve literacy outcomes for EaL/D and New Arrival learners.
Solid understanding and application of departmental policies and procedures, including use of the EaL/D school Evaluation Framework, to plan for and implement improved whole school practices that align with school priorities.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with students, staff, families and the wider school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
