About The Role:
As a
Veterinary Nursing Teacher
, you'll bring learning to life through hands‐on training, industry insights and practical experience.
You'll deliver and assess the
ACM***** Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
, preparing students for rewarding careers across veterinary practice and animal care settings.
You'll be responsible for:
Delivering engaging and interactive classroom and practical training
Teaching key veterinary nursing disciplines, including surgical nursing, dentistry,
pathology, reception operations and client care
Developing learning resources and assessment materials
Supporting students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds
Maintaining accurate training and assessment records
Participating in validation and continuous improvement activities
Staying connected to current industry practices and emerging trends
Representing Bendigo Kangan Institute at industry and community events, including expos and outreach activities
Ensuring compliance with VET quality standards, regulatory requirements and Institute policies
About you:
You're an experienced Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about developing others and sharing your industry expertise.
You'll bring:
Minimum 5 years' experience in the veterinary nursing industry
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or equivalent)
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a higher qualification
Strong practical animal handling skills and knowledge of animal welfare practices
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A passion for education, mentoring and supporting student success
Previous teaching, training or mentoring experience
