Senior Procurement Advisor
Bielby is experiencing a period of sustained growth,supported by a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects and continuedexpansion into new regions.
Building on over 40 years of successful majorproject delivery, we are seeking an accomplished
Senior Procurement Advisor
to join our Pre Contracts team.
Working closely with Estimating, Commercial, Pre Contractsand Project teams, you will lead procurement activities across tenders andproject pursuits, ensuring the timely engagement of suppliers andsubcontractors while delivering high-quality procurement outcomes.
As a trusted procurement qualified, you will providemarket intelligence, procurement expertise and commercial insight that directlyinfluences tender competitiveness and project success.
You'll operate with ahigh degree of autonomy while building strong relationships across Bielby'ssupply chain and supporting procurement improvement initiatives across thebusiness.
This role is ideal for an experienced procurementprofessional who enjoys working in a fast-paced tender environment and wants tomake a meaningful contribution to major infrastructure projects before theyenter construction.
What You'll Do
Leadand coordinate procurement activities across Bielby's tender pipeline andproject requirements.
Developprocurement strategies and package plans in collaboration with PreContracts, Estimating, Commercial and Project teams.
Manageend-to-end procurement packages, including market engagement, RFQs, tenderadministration, evaluation and recommendation.
ManageEstimateOne and coordinate procurement activity nationally to maximisesupplier and subcontractor participation.
Maintainprocurement schedules and proactively identify long-lead items, supplyconstraints and market risks.
Provideprocurement expertise and market insights to support tender strategy andcompetitive project delivery.
Analyseand level supplier and subcontractor quotations,



identifying scope gaps,pricing risks and commercial differences.
Supportnegotiations and contribute to commercially sound procurementrecommendations.
Developand maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors acrossBielby's operating regions.
Monitormarket conditions, supplier capability, pricing trends and emerging supplychain risks.
Maintainprocurement systems, registers, schedules and reporting frameworks.
Supportcontinuous improvement initiatives across procurement systems, processesand governance.
What You'll Bring
Experiencein procurement, supply chain, estimating support, contracts administrationor commercial roles within construction or infrastructure.
Strongunderstanding of subcontractor and supplier engagement processes.
Demonstratedexperience managing procurement packages across multiple concurrenttenders or projects.
Commercialand analytical capability to assess quotations, pricing and procurementrisks.
Experienceundertaking tender evaluations, supplier negotiations and marketengagement activities.
Strongstakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Highlevel of organisation and attention to detail.
StrongMicrosoft Excel capability.
Experiencewith EstimateOne or similar procurement platforms highly regarded.
Tertiaryqualifications in Business, Commerce, Procurement, Supply Chain,Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
Professionalprocurement accreditation (CIPS, AAPCM or equivalent) will be viewedfavourably.
