n We're seeking an experienced Forklift Driver / Storeperson to join our busy structural steel workshop. This role acts as Second-in-Charge (2IC) to the
Operations/Warehouse
Manager, ensuring yard and dispatch operations run safely and efficiently.
n A current forklift licence is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Operate forklifts safely in a steel yard/workshop
n
Load/unload long, heavy steel and fabricated components
n
Maintain yard organisation and traffic flow
n
Ensure load restraint and transport compliance
n
Step up as 2IC and lead toolbox talks when required
n

What You Bring
n
n
Valid forklift licence (essential)
n
Proven experience in structural steel, fabrication, mining, or heavy transport
n
Confidence handling long, awkward loads in high-risk environments
n
Robust safety awareness (SWMS, load restraint, incident reporting)
n
Ability to coordinate lifts, truck movements, and urgent material flow
n
Calm, practical leadership with a hands-on attitude
n
n
