Macadamia Farm Management is looking for a motivated Field Service Mechanic to join our team supporting one of Australia's leading macadamia farming operations.

This is a full-time role based near Bundaberg. You'll spend most of your time out on farm responding to breakdowns and carrying out scheduled maintenance, with some workshop based work when required.

About the Role
n
You will be responsible for keeping our fleet of tractors, trucks, farm machinery, and associated equipment running reliably — both out in the orchards and in the workshop.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Mobile diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on tractors, trucks, farm machinery, and other farming equipment
n




Responding to breakdowns and carrying out field service work across multiple farm sites
n
Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repairs
n
Preventative maintenance programs and scheduled services
n
Workshop-based repairs, component rebuilds, and fabrication support as required
n
Ensuring machinery is secure, compliant, and operational — in time for seasonal demands
n
Maintaining good communication with farm managers and the wider maintenance team
n

About You
n
n
Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Plant Mechanic, or equivalent strong hands-on experience
n
Comfortable working independently in the field and productively in a workshop environment
n
Strong diagnostic skills and a practical, problem-solving mindset
n
Reliable, safety-focused, and takes pride in workmanship
n
Current driver's licence (HR preferred but not essential)
n
Experience in agriculture, heavy machinery, outdoor, or field service environments is highly regarded
n
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple farm sites and with workshop colleagues
n
Auto electrical and hydraulic experience highly regarded
