Due to internal movements we are looking for a Waste Support Officer to join our team on a 12 Month Fixed Term assignment. You will be based on-site at both Watergardens Shopping Centre and Eastland Shopping Centre, you'll help promote sustainable waste practices through a mix of operational support, tenant engagement, and education.

Responsibilities

Overseeing daily waste operations across both centers
n
Understanding site-specific waste streams and how they're managed
n
Suggesting sustainable improvements to existing processes
n
Optimizing bin sizes and collection schedules
n
Inspecting bins and storage areas for compliance
n
Promoting correct waste segregation (general waste, recycling, organics)
n
Reducing contamination and improving recycling rates
n
Responding to waste-related issues with cleaning and maintenance teams
n

Able to work independently and solve basic problems

Familiar with or open to learning about waste and recycling

A background or studies in environmental science, sustainability, or education is a plus
