We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and localgovernment as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.

The Fleet Manager will provide end-to-end fleet management services forVicFleet, supporting the Victorian Government's transition to a centralised, optimised and zero-emissions vehicle fleet. The role will manage short-term vehicle hire and bookings for public sector employees, emergency surge capacity, Members of Parliament and executives, while overseeing vehicle assets, maintenance, fuel cards, insurance, registration, safety and compliance, driver management, fleet optimisation, vehicle replacements and customer service. The role is hands-on and onsite five days a week, requiring regular movement between parking locations and some manual handling. Extensive fleet management experience, strong
vehicleknowledgeand
the ability to optimise vehicle utilisation and costs are essential; government experience is desirable.

Key Accountabilities
n
Oversee vehicle bookings, allocation, dispatch and returns, ensuring efficient workflow, safe
vehiclemovementsand




reliable service delivery to government clients.
n
Provideexpert advice and support to VPS employees, Members of Parliament and executives on vehicleselection,
leasing,maintenanceand
fleet requirements.
n
Oversee vehicle commissioning, utilisation, maintenance, repairs, insurance, fuel/charge cards, registration, cleaning and replacement, ensuring
safety,complianceand
roadworthiness.
n
Maintainhigh standardsof safety and regulatory compliance
whileidentifyingopportunities
to improve vehicle
utilisation,efficiencyand
fleet performance.
n
Work collaboratively acrossVicFleetto support fleet optimisation, decarbonisation and other branch and business operations initiatives.
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will need topossessthe
followingattributes:
n
Extensive experience in fleet operations and lifecycle management, including acquisition, leasing, utilisation, maintenance,
replacement,disposaland
whole-of-life cost management.
n
Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and deliver customer-focused outcomes.
n




Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to present clear, high-quality information to a range of audiences and use fleet systems and reporting tools
tomonitorperformance,costsand
utilisation.
n
Strong knowledge of registration, insurance, servicing, roadworthiness, infringements, driver safety, incident management, policy compliance, riskcontrolsand business continuity.
n
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced setting while driving efficiency and business improvement. A full Victorian driver's licence and relevant qualifications or
experiencearehighly
regarded.
