The Centre:
n We are supporting a beautiful, purpose-built boutique early learning service located in Melbourne's South East. Designed to inspire curiosity, connection and learning, this community-focused centre provides children with a warm, nurturing environment where they can thrive. Committed to building meaningful relationships with children, families and educators, the service fosters a genuine sense of belonging and creates a welcoming community for everyone who walks through its doors.

The Role:
n As the Assistant Director, you will work closely and collaboratively with the Centre Director to lead the day-to-day operations of the service. Together, you will provide robust leadership, support and guidance to the team, ensuring the centre continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for children, families and educators.
n This is a genuine leadership partnership where you will play an integral role in driving centre quality, fostering a positive team culture and supporting the strategic direction of the service. You will act as a trusted support to the Director, sharing responsibility for educational excellence, compliance, team development and family engagement, while confidently overseeing operations in their absence.
n Key Responsibilities

Partner closely with the Centre Director to lead and support the daily operations of the service
n
Provide coaching, mentoring and leadership to educators, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team culture
n
Support the implementation of the centre's vision, values and quality improvement goals
n
Build strong, authentic relationships with children, families and the local community
n
Assist with staff rostering, occupancy management and centre administration
n
Support curriculum development and educational excellence across the service
n
Maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework and all regulatory requirements
n
Confidently oversee centre operations and decision-making in the Director's absence
n
Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education
n
2 years minimum experience in a leadership role within an Early Childhood Education setting
n
Thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and Child Safe Standards
n
Strong leadership, excellent communication and problem-solving skills
n
Current Working with Children Check
n
Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications
n
A genuine passion for delivering high-quality early learning outcomes
n
