About The Team
The Marketing and Communications Office is a collaborative team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about sharing the Murdoch University story.
Through strategic marketing, effective communications and brand leadership, the team enhances the University's reputation, supports future growth and strengthens engagement with staff, students, alumni and the broader community.
Working closely with academics, researchers and professional staff, the team showcases Murdoch's achievements, research excellence and student success stories to audiences both locally and globally.
Your New Role!
Reporting to the Acquisition Marketing Manager, the Acquisition Marketer plays a key role in attracting and converting prospective students through data-driven marketing strategies and campaigns.
Working across the full acquisition funnel, you will leverage digital marketing, marketing automation, and analytics to drive lead generation, optimise customer journeys, and improve conversion outcomes.
Partnering with a range of stakeholders, you will use insights and performance data to deliver impactful campaigns that support Murdoch University's recruitment and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver acquisition marketing strategies and campaigns that drive student recruitment and strengthen the Murdoch University brand.
Design and optimise lead nurture programs, including audience segmentation, personalisation, and customer journey planning.
Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve results.
Optimise digital channels and conversion pathways to enhance lead generation and engagement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support recruitment initiatives and strategic priorities.

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $101K – $112K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you'll bring to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Proven ability to develop and deliver marketing campaigns that achieve business objectives.
Experience in lead nurturing, SEO, SEM, and digital performance marketing.
Strong understanding of audience segmentation, customer journeys, lead generation, and marketing automation.
Proficiency with CMS and CRM platforms, digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms including GA4, Looker Studio, and SEMrush.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
