The Opportunity
n
This is an exciting prospect for an experienced Electrical Engineer – BMS Programming to play a key role in designing, programming, testing and commissioning Building Management Systems (BMS) across a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects.
n
Working closely with our Energy team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality BMS solutions that maximise building performance, improve energy efficiency and ensure safe, reliable operation of building services.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Design, develop and configure BMS control strategies and software logic.
n
Program, test and commission BMS controllers and integrated building systems.
n
Develop and maintain BMS documentation including control narratives, points lists, I/O schedules and as-built documentation.
n
Integrate BMS with third-party systems including HVAC equipment, lighting controls, power monitoring, security systems and metering.
n
Perform on-site commissioning, testing, tuning and optimisation to ensure system performance and energy efficiency.
n
Diagnose and resolve software, network, instrumentation and control system faults.
n
Work collaboratively with electrical, mechanical and commissioning teams to deliver projects on time and to specification.
n
Provide technical support, training and guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
n
Assist with technical input for tenders,



estimates and project variations.
n
Promote continuous improvement through the standardisation of BMS engineering practices and innovative solutions.

Skills & Experience
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
n
Demonstrated experience designing, programming and commissioning Building Management Systems (BMS) on commercial or industrial projects.
n
Experience with one or more major BMS platforms such as Schneider, Siemens, Honeywell, Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls or similar.
n
Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, instrumentation and communications protocols including BACnet, Modbus or LonWorks.
n
Experience producing technical documentation including control schematics, functional descriptions and electrical drawings.
n
Excellent fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
n
Robust communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
n
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities across project environments.
n
