Senior SHEQ role supporting specialist civil infrastructure projects across the East Coast
Join a respected contractor backed by a major global group, with autonomy, varied projects and ongoing professional development.
The Company
This specialist civil infrastructure contractor delivers technically complex projects across Australia, with particular expertise in underground operations.
Backed by a major global engineering and construction group, the business combines the culture and autonomy of a smaller operation with the stability and resources of an international organisation.
With projects across multiple sectors and a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking to appoint a Senior SHEQ Advisor to support operations across Queensland and the wider East Coast.
The Role
In this role you will work closely with the SHEQ Manager to support safety, health, environmental and quality performance across the business.
Based primarily from the Yatala office, you will take responsibility for compliance, legislation, systems and strategic SHEQ activities, while regularly getting out to projects to provide practical support to site teams.
When on site, you'll deliver toolbox talks and inductions, engage with operational teams and ensure SHEQ requirements are being implemented effectively.
You'll also play an important role in rehabilitation and return-to-work activities, while providing advice and guidance across the wider business.
Travel will include sites across Queensland, NSW, Victoria, and South Australia, but will only be required once or twice a month.
This role would suit an experienced Senior HSE / SHEQ Advisor from a civil construction, plant or heavy infrastructure environment who is comfortable operating autonomously and wants exposure to technically interesting projects across multiple states.
