Full-time fixed-term position for up to 12 months.
Base salary will be in the range $85,****** - $113,****** + 17% super (Academic Level A).
Based at our St Lucia Campus.
About This Prospect
Join a visionary and collaborative research environment where you will help create change together through cutting‐edge research in digital media forensics, multimodal data correlation, artificial intelligence, and cyber‐enabled trust technologies.
Working alongside world‐class researchers and industry partners, you will contribute to the development of innovative methodologies that detect, analyse, and explain media manipulation while building an emerging research profile through impactful publications, research translation, and engagement activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
Research: Conduct innovative research in multimodal data correlation, media manipulation detection and AI‐enabled forensic analysis, maintaining high-quality evidence databases and workflows.
Supervision and Researcher Development: Develop an emerging research profile through high-quality publications, research collaboration, competitive funding, knowledge translation and industry engagement.
Citizenship and Service: Contribute to supervision and researcher development, while actively supporting UQ's collaborative culture, service activities and engagement with industry, government and the wider community.
This is a research focused position.

About You
Completion or near completion of a PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Media Forensics, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a closely related discipline.
An emerging profile in research in the discipline area.




Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding.
Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities.
