Job Description
Working with a team of Electrical and Mechanical Operators the key purpose of these apprenticeships will be to learn all aspects of either the electrical or mechanical trade.
Some of your key activities will include:
Assist with planned, preventative and corrective maintenance activities on electrical equipment and systems
Support the inspection, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel and gas engines, pumps, compressors, cooling systems, valves and other electrical plant equipment.
Assist in equipment shutdowns, overhauls, and major maintenance projects.
Identify and report equipment defects, abnormal operating conditions, and potential reliability issues.
Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop facilities in a clean and serviceable condition
Attend and actively participate in formal training, workshops and competency assessments
Apply learned skills and knowledge in practical workplace situations
Seek guidance and feedback from supervisors and qualified tradespersons to support development
Comply with EDL safety policies, procedures, permits, and safe work practices
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and hazard reporting processes.
We are looking for someone who has the desire to learn either the electrical or mechanical trade who can commit to a 4 year apprenticeship.
