Are you a
licensed electrician
looking to build a career in one of the fastest-growing areas of the electrical industry?
We are looking for a motivated and reliable
Licensed Electrician
to join a specialist renewable energy team based in
Eden, NSW
, with projects travelling across Australia.
You don't need to already be an off-grid solar expert.
What matters most is that you're a
qualified electrician with a great attitude, strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn
.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role where you'll work as part of a dedicated two-person installation team, gaining practical experience in the design, construction and installation of high-quality off-grid solar systems.
Workshop-based electrical and solar system construction in Eden
Travelling throughout Australia for installations
Working alongside experienced off-grid solar electricians while you develop your skills
Progressively taking on more responsibility as your competency and qualifications grow
Working on projects ranging from smaller residential systems through to large commercial standalone solar installations
Systems are largely pre-built and tested in the workshop before being transported to site, meaning installation teams arrive with significant preparation already completed.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will work across both the
Eden workshop
and customer installation sites throughout Australia.
Workshop-Based Duties
Build and assemble off-grid solar and battery systems in the workshop.
Complete electrical wiring, connections, testing and fault-finding.
Pre-build complete solar systems so they are fully tested and operational before leaving the workshop.
Install and configure inverters, batteries, solar equipment, switchboards and associated electrical components.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, system designs and installation plans.
Test and commission systems to ensure they are secure, compliant and operating correctly.
Prepare equipment, materials and tools for upcoming installation projects.
Assist with loading, transport and preparation of equipment for site installations.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
Identify and resolve electrical or equipment issues before systems are transported to site.
Work closely with the wider workshop and installation team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Off-Grid Solar Installation Duties

Travel to customer sites throughout Australia to install standalone solar and battery systems.
Work as part of a dedicated two-person installation team.
Install solar panels, batteries, inverters, switchboards, cabling and associated equipment.
Complete electrical connections and installation work in accordance with relevant Australian standards and regulations.
Assist with site preparation, equipment positioning and system assembly.
Carry out testing, commissioning and fault-finding on completed systems.
Diagnose and rectify electrical and system issues on site.
Work safely in a range of environments, including residential, rural and commercial locations.
Liaise professionally with customers and other trades while on site.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and attention to detail.
Complete installation and project documentation as required.
Progressively take on greater responsibility as experience, competency and additional solar/off-grid qualifications are gained.
Training & Career Development
This is a genuine opportunity to specialise in
off-grid solar
.
Full training and mentoring will be provided, including support to obtain the additional solar and off-grid qualifications required for the role.
You'll initially work closely with an experienced qualified off-grid solar electrician, with responsibility increasing as your skills and competency develop.
The long-term goal is to build you into a highly capable off-grid solar installer who can confidently undertake projects throughout Australia.
Work & Lifestyle
The role offers a genuinely different work/life arrangement.
When based in Eden, you'll generally work a
four-day week
, giving you a three-day weekend.
The work schedule will generally average around:
2 weeks in Eden / 2 weeks travelling
There is flexibility around the days worked at home, depending on project requirements.
When travelling, work-related
travel, accommodation and meals are organised and paid for
, so you aren't expected to carry the upfront cost of working away.
There are also opportunities for overtime, with travel throughout Australia currently including projects across NSW, Victoria, South Australia and other locations as the business expands.

negotiable based on your qualifications, experience and capability
