About the Role
The Compliance team is responsible for leading the Academy's compliance, audit, risk management, enterprise initiatives and program governance.
The work of the team promotes alignment to the Victorian Public Sector standards and frameworks, Department policies, legislated requirements and evidence-based frameworks and methodologies.




The Project Officer, Compliance and Reporting supports the delivery, coordination, reporting and administrative requirements of risk, audit, program governance, performance reporting and improvement initiatives across the Academy.
The role contributes to projects, reporting and coordination activities that enable effective organisational performance.
Supporting delivery of projects and initiatives across the Academy
Providing secretariat support to governance forums
Coordinating stakeholders and project activities
Providing administrative and coordination support to performance reporting, risk management, audit and other functions of the Compliance, Procurement and Reporting unit
Analysing and presenting relevant data to support monitoring across functions and inform decision-making
Contributing to and developing clear, accurate and audience-appropriate reports, briefings and supporting materials
Supporting continuous improvement of the unit and AcademyCapabilities
Knowledge of project management frameworks and practices
Experience in leading discrete elements and/or supporting the end-to-end process of project management
Sound organisational skills with the ability to manage competing tasks across multiple projects and to completion
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail, tone and audience




Ability to work collaboratively by building effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving capability
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Experience or qualifications in project or program management, audit, risk or procurement function is highly desirable
Experience in a secretariat function is desirable
About the Division
The Business Services Division leads the provision of quality Academy corporate support services and functions (including procurement, risk management, performance reporting and evaluation, human resources and culture, finance, facilities management, information and audio-visual technology) which enable successful operation of the Academy.
The Compliance, Procurement and Reporting unit provides strategic oversight, coordination and enterprise process for the Academy's compliance, risk, internal program governance, procurement and performance reporting, including evaluation of the Academy's professional learning programs.

By maintaining robust frameworks aligned to Victorian Public Service standards and Department of Education policies, the Compliance, Procurement and Reporting team ensures all programs and services are delivered with quality, accountability and transparency.
