About the role
We are on the lookout for a Commercial Lead to lead our Program Commercial team and drive strong commercial outcomes across Perth Airport's infrastructure portfolio.
This senior leadership role will oversee commercial strategy, contract management, risk management and stakeholder engagement to support the successful delivery of major projects.
Lead and develop the Program Commercial team, creating a positive, high performing and collaborative team culture.
Provide leadership across major and minor contracts, ensuring strong commercial governance and effective contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and implement commercial and contracting strategies that maximise value, manage risk and support successful project delivery.
Partner with project leaders,
stakeholders and delivery partners to achieve aligned commercial outcomes across the program.
Provide guidance on contract negotiations, claims, dispute resolution and commercial risk management.
Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes, frameworks, tools and governance practices.
Ensure safety, environmental and sustainability considerations are embedded within procurement and contracting activities.
Support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects by maintaining strong commercial oversight, compliance and financial performance.
About you
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Extensive senior level experience in commercial and contract management within a major project, construction or infrastructure environment.
Strong knowledge of contracting and procurement models and their application across complex infrastructure projects.
Proven experience managing operational and financial risk, with a track record of implementing strategies that protect business outcomes.
Highly developed problem solving skills with the ability to navigate complex commercial issues and make sound decisions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence,
negotiate and build trusted relationships.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret financial information and translate insights into business decisions.
An accomplished people leader who builds capable teams, drives accountability, delivers results and maintains a strategic focus on long term outcomes.
