Our Registered Nurses work closely with participants, families, support workers and other health professionals to promote safety, dignity, independence and continuity of care.
Current Chance - Wyelangta, VIC ****
We are currently seeking an
experienced Registered Nurse
to provide
1:1 high-intensity and complex nursing support
to a participant in
Wyelangta, Victoria ****
.
This opportunity would suit an RN who is confident working independently in the community and has experience supporting people with
complex disability, chronic health conditions or high-intensity clinical support needs
.
The position is offered on a
contractual (sole trader/ABN) basis
, providing flexibility while being supported by an established nurse-led organisation.
The Role:
Comprehensive nursing assessment and ongoing clinical monitoring.
Medication administration and medication management.
Complex bowel care.
Enteral feeding and PEG management.
Dysphagia and mealtime-related clinical support.
Seizure monitoring and management.
Respiratory assessment and support.
Oral and airway suctioning where required.




Complex wound care and skin integrity management.
Continence and catheter-related care.
Diabetes management.
Pressure injury prevention and positioning.
Monitoring for clinical deterioration.
Implementation of individualised health and emergency management plans.
Responding appropriately to medical emergencies and escalating to emergency services when required.
Maintaining comprehensive clinical documentation and progress notes.
Liaising with the participant's family, treating practitioners and broader support team.
Providing clinical guidance to Disability Support Workers where appropriate.
The exact clinical responsibilities will be determined by the participant's individual needs, nursing assessment, scope of practice and relevant care plans.
About You
We are looking for an RN who is:
Clinically confident and able to work autonomously.
Experienced in complex or high-intensity care.
Calm and capable in emergency situations.
Highly observant and able to recognise clinical deterioration.
Reliable, professional and responsive.
Comfortable providing 1:1 nursing support in a participant's home.
Able to follow detailed clinical and emergency management plans.
Committed to person-centred and dignity-focused care.
Confident communicating with families and multidisciplinary health professionals.
Experienced in maintaining accurate clinical documentation.




Experience in
disability, community nursing, complex care, rehabilitation, acute care or high-intensity supports
will be highly regarded.
What You'll Need:
Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain where applicable:
Current
AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Bachelor of Nursing or recognised equivalent qualification.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Current National Police Check.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You.
Current Australian working rights.
Current driver's licence.
Reliable vehicle suitable for travelling to the participant's location.
Australian Business Number (ABN) or willingness to obtain one.
Appropriate professional documentation and compliance requirements for independent contracting.
