About the Position
n Charles Darwin University is seeking a proactive Student Communities & Engagement Coordinator to lead the ongoing development of our Student Groups programme and strengthen opportunities for student connection, belonging and leadership.
n This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at a pivotal time, with significant scope to influence the future direction of CDU's Student Groups programme. Working closely with students, colleagues and stakeholders across the University, you'll help shape and enhance a contemporary approach to student community engagement that supports connection, belonging and leadership.
n In this role, you'll support the growth of inclusive, student-led communities by providing guidance, resources and governance support to student groups and their leaders. You'll identify opportunities for improvement, implement initiatives that enhance student engagement, and help ensure the programme remains responsive, sustainable and impactful.
n As part of the Student Life team, you'll work collaboratively on a range of student engagement projects and initiatives, contributing to a connected and engaging student experience across the University. You'll bring a collaborative approach, strong judgement and a willingness to work alongside others to achieve shared outcomes.

About You
n To be successful, you will require:
n
n
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse groups.
n
Proven ability to provide guidance, support, and capability building for individuals and teams,



using sound judgement in complex situations.
n
Experience coordinating projects, programmes, events, training, or similar initiatives while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
n
Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills, with experience coordinating processes, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
n
Understanding of financial, purchasing, and compliance processes within a programme or service delivery environment.
n
Commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing organisational processes and client/student experiences.
n
Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and business systems, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
n
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve team and organisational objectives.
n
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and culturally safe practices.

Remuneration
n Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 6. The base salary will be in the range of $89,487 - $95,375 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $104,699 - $111,588 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
n
