Canungra Health Centre is located a short drive from the Gold Coast and on Kokoda Barracks. This is where officers and soldiers in the Australian Army Intelligence Corps complete their initial employment training, and all-corps training is conducted throughout officer and soldier careers. It was established in **** for Army jungle warfare and infantry training. It was closed from ***********, however reactivated during the Vietnam War. Services provided include primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours of the centre are generally ********* Monday – Friday

Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members

Conductingfitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.
n
Undertaking assessments, interventions, managing medications, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions
n
Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environmentwhere patientwellness is paramount

What you bring
n
n
Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
One of the following:ACMHN
credentialed,Graduate
Diploma in Mental Health Nursing,Mental Health trained nurse / UK trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse
n
Minimum two years' Post RN general registration experience within last five yearsin mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting
n
Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' and 'Psychological Therapy' as per Medicare Schedule
n
Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
n
Australian
Citizenshiprequired
to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
n
Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
