About the role

Termi Home & Commercial CQ is seeking an experienced Waterproofer to join our team in Yeppoon, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in protecting residential and commercial properties from water damage and moisture ingress. As a Waterproofer, you will be responsible for applying waterproofing systems to various surfaces, ensuring durability and compliance with industry standards. This position is based in Yeppoon QLD **** and offers the prospect to work on diverse projects across the local region.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Apply waterproofing membranes, coatings and sealants to roofs, walls, basements, bathrooms and other structures.
n
Prepare surfaces through cleaning, priming and repair work to ensure optimal adhesion and performance.
n
Install waterproofing systems including liquid applied membranes, sheet membranes and specialised coatings.
n
Conduct quality inspections and testing to verify waterproofing integrity and address any defects.
n
Work safely at heights and in confined spaces, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
n
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
n
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and keep work sites clean and organised.
n
Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and clients regarding project progress and any issues.
n
Troubleshoot waterproofing problems and recommend appropriate solutions

What we're looking for
n
n
Formal qualifications or extensive practical experience as a Waterproofer within the building trades industry.
n
Demonstrated expertise in applying various waterproofing systems and materials.
n
Strong knowledge of waterproofing techniques, building codes and industry standards.
n




Proficiency in surface preparation, coating application and membrane installation.
n
Experience working on residential, commercial or industrial projects.
n
Current or eligible to obtain a valid driver's licence for travel to work sites.
n
Excellent physical fitness and ability to work at heights safely.
n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Ability to be able to work away from home as we service areas throughout Central Queensland.
n
Valid working rights in Australia.
n
Relevant certifications such as White Card (Construction Induction Card) are advantageous.
