St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is located in Warragul, with a current enrolment of
n 356 students. The School was officially opened in **** and is one of two primary schools in
n St Joseph's Parish. In ****, St Joseph's Catholic Primary School opened on its current site in
n Burke Street which it shares with Marist-Sion College.

Warragul has grown from a semi-rural residential town to form part of a major growth
n corridor, 100 kilometres south-east of Melbourne's CBD in the West Gippsland region, on the
n lands of the Gunaikurnai People. Warragul forms part of a larger urban area that includes the
n nearby town of Drouin and is accessible from the M1 freeway.

The School, as part of St Joseph's Parish Warragul, provides access to Catholic education to
n families situated in the central and eastern areas of the Parish and boasts vibrant, modern
n classrooms that are well appointed and resourced.

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is seeking a faith-filled, inspirational and dynamic Deputy
n Principal – Learning Adjustment to work in partnership with our staff, student and parent
n community. The role of the Primary Deputy Principal is to support the Principal and
n Leadership Team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the
n education of all students at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School. The role involves working
n closely with the principal to enact the strategic directions of Diocese of Sale Catholic
n Education Limited (DOSCEL) and support the effective deployment of resources in line with
n the following key priorities:

Enlivening faith education and Catholic identity

Improved learning outcomes for all students

Strengthening and development of expert teacher practice, leadership formation and capacity building
n
Ongoing commitment to effective and supportive governance.

We are seeking a suitably qualified applicant with a proven record of leadership, who aspires
n to principalship. The Deputy Principal position will initially be offered on a fixed-term basis
n for three years, with chance for renewal. The successful applicant will be offered
n ongoing employment at the School as a teacher.
