$149,657 - $166,338 per annum(paid pro-rata for part-time staff) plus 17% superannuation

The filling of this position is intended to constitute a special measure and is aimed at increasing employment opportunities for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons in line with the strategies in the ANU Enterprise Agreement.
The Position
This newly established role will provide leadership for the School's Indigenous community engagement, strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The role will support the Indigenous Governance Group and ensure community perspectives inform medical education, research and outreach.
The Person
We are seeking an experienced Indigenous health or educational professional with expertise in Indigenous health education, community engagement and strong stakeholder relationships.
The School
The School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP) was established in **** to bring together expertise from Medicine and Psychology to develop a unique educational and research environment.
The focus is to produce psychologists, researchers, and medical graduates who practice compassion, conscience and skilled excellence, and with a knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and culture.
The school partners with a number of healthcare organisations to deliver teaching and training including but not limited to ACT Health, community practices throughout the ACT and Southwestern NSW.
The school is currently undertaking a major investment in its Indigenous Health Team and Program, to improve Indigenous Student recruitment and retention,
ensure Cultural safety for students and staff in the program, enhance integration of Indigenous health into the medical curriculum and to grow and deepen community relationships.
The College
The ANU College of Science and Medicine encompasses the following disciplines: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Physics, Medicine and Psychology, and Medical Research.
It is also home to various cross-disciplinary and specialist institutes and centres.
Staff and students within the ANU College of Science and Medicine conduct research and deliver research-led education programs spanning the entire breadth of the sciences, supported by extensive international networks and world-class facilities.
