The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Speech Pathologist to join the Cabrini Speech Pathology team in a permanent full-time position based at Cabrini Malvern.
Working within our acute care team, you will provide high-quality assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population.
This role requires a flexible clinician with broad acute care experience and a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based practice across the continuum of care.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care.
You will contribute to maintaining excellence in clinical practice, service quality, patient outcomes and staff engagement, while supporting Cabrini's commitment to exceptional patient care.
Key responsibilities:
Assessment and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders for a range of aetiologies in acute hospital setting
Demonstrates current clinical knowledge of research,



new developments and evidence-based practice in specific discipline.
Compliance with our Triage policy in response time to referrals.
Attend and contribute to staff meetings, including the identification of achievements, relevant issues and unmet needs.
Participates in professional development programs.
Involved in student education and training, staff supervision
About you
Membership/Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
Well consolidated post-graduate experience in the acute healthcare setting (min 2 years)
Experience in the assessment and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders for a range of aetiologies
Demonstrated ability to consult and collaborate with others and work as an effective member of a team
Excellent time management skills and high degree of flexibility
Well-developed interpersonal skills, which include excellent communication skills
Commitment to continuing professional development and clinical research
Demonstrated ability to enhance the patient and family experience at Cabrini
